My very first cover is on news stands now! Check it out!! Super exciting. I especially love the story behind it... real readers of Fitness/ real women... I photographed 5 different women who were all finalists in the "Face of Fitness" competition. Although they were all beautiful and all brought amazing energy that day, the lovely Caroline was our winner. Congrats to her!! Go grab a copy! I have been glowing with pride each time I spot it in Walgreens, on the streets of NY, etc... very exciting!

Also, it's fun to mention that I shot this in June when I was 9 1/2 months pregnant! Now that I am no longer pregnant, I think the below photo is fairly hilarious :)

I recently shot a new Ad for Kodak's motion picture film campaign, Film. No Compromise. The campaign is comprised of portraits of different award winning cinematographers who, like me, still swear by and use film.

This portrait is of Cinematographer Wally Pfister, currently nominated by Oscar for his beautiful work in the movie Inception. Really cool guy, great shoot, beautiful film.

I spent all of last week in my hometown of Shawnee, Kansas with my family. It was a picture taking extravaganza to say the least! I think the final count was 2 pregnancy shoots, 4 kids shoots, 1 labor and delivery, and 3 family portraits. Totally insane but amazing! Here are a few shots of my beautiful niece Alexis... I have photographed her a million times over the 10 years of her sweet life. It was crazy to see how much she has grown up since this time last year. The difference in her spirit and attitude was huge... she is becoming a little adult. Our typical free spirited, crazy photos, became much more serious and fashion-y. She was all business. It was incredibly endearing and a little heartbreaking all at the same time.

Check out the September issue of Fitness! I have a bunch of photos in it including the below hair story, the fun lifestyle story, and multiple beauty images (plus my first ever Contribs column shout-out which is super exciting!!) All were shot on location in Miami- one day at the Standard hotel and a one day at a beautiful home in Coral Gables... two of the hottest days ever but the models were super troopers and braved the weather effortlessly... wool clothes and all. I cannot escape my love and obsession with black and white photography... for example... I had an amazing shoot in Key Biscayne a few weeks ago... even with the lush blue water and tropical surroundings, I still think that black and white film says it best!

This was a boiling hot day (literally I think you could have cooked pasta in the water) but Maria was fantastic! Beautiful and sensual... she definitely brought it!!

Check out the July/August issue of Fitness! I have numerous stories published and am super excited.

This was shot in NYC in May. I really loved shooting this story... I can appreciate the idea of embracing in yourself what others might perceive as a flaw. This story and these women were an inspiration for me to do the same... to embrace it all and and let the self-criticism go! Bravo to these lovely ladies for being so candid, beautiful, and confidant! Go girls!!! xo

A few more shots from the same issue of Fitness. These were shot on Miami Beach in April. I love Fitness and have been having a blast shooting for them... a great group of women working there and stories that inspire me! What more could a girl ask for!?

Hey all! My new winter resolution is to actually start blogging! It is not as easy as I once suspected it would be. But I am going to give it another shot and try to post weekly. Lots of new photos to post and new things heading to the website this week.

I had an amazing shoot last Tuesday with Miz Mooz shoes. They rented out Coney Island for the day- it was terrific!! In between shots, I snapped a roll of 3200 of our lovely model Ivy changing in the "Freak Show" dressing room. I love love love these photos and am excited to share them! Here is a peek...

Dear friends,

Although I'm sad to be wrapping up summer- it has been a great one! I was back in Kansas a couple weeks ago to visit my family and had an amazing time. Thanks to my dad's tripod, we were able to pull off the latest Postle family portrait complete with 4 generations (minus my husband Brian who stayed home in NY with the pets). That's me on the right of the group shot wearing the cardigan sweater)... I also photographed my lovely, lifelong friend Suzanne who is pregnant with her first baby girl! Dear friends,

I have long considered the idea of blogging and after some recent encouragement from my friends at Kodak, here goes...

It has been a wild, fun & too short a summer, but I have been working on some great and interesting projects that have kept me nice and busy... here's a few highlights...

I've been shooting a ton for my favorite NYC gals over at Funky Lala- check out their website for f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s clothes, shoes, handbags (sighhh), and jewelry. http://funkylala.com

Earlier this summer I shot the fall campaign for Miz Mooz shoes at this great, hidden bar in the Lower East Side of Manhattan called The Back Room. Super cool location, super cool shoe company, and most importantly- AMAZING shoes!!

This spring I shot a story on the lovely Julia Dimon for Outside's Go Magazine. She was so great and I love the photos- the story came out last month and I could hardly wait to post them online! Here are a few of my favs- check out more on my site!

I also recently shot an Ad for Kodak's Motion Picture Film Division. The guy featured in the Ad is Ted Royer at the Agency droga5- he was really one of the coolest people ever, so it was a super fun day and I think the Ad conveys that spirit.

Speaking of my friends at Kodak- I was lucky enough to be invited up to Rochester last weekend to speak at the Kodak Headquarters- thank you to all who attended! It was so great to share experiences with you all and amazing to meet everyone. Your questions were thoughtful and were a great compliment! Thank you!!

Lastly, please check out the new http://www.amypostle.com! I finally gave in and ditched my sweet little homemade site (you served me well for the past 7 years!) for a fancier version via BLU Domain. It is still a constant evolution, but for now it is up and being updated constantly! Check out my new Personalities and Tearsheets portfolios. There is a lot of new work in all of the portfolios though- enjoy!
